Renowned Tamil and Malayalam film actress, Arundhati Nair, is currently on a ventilator following a severe road accident in Kerala. The news was confirmed by her sister, Arathy, who took to Instagram to clarify the situation after multiple reports surfaced about the accident. The incident reportedly occurred at the Kovalam bypass, resulting in head injuries for Arundhati, who was traveling with her brother at the time.
Arathy’s post read, “We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu’s newspapers and television channels. It is true that my sister Arundhathi Nair had an accident three days ago. She is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator at the Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum.” The post was shared with the caption, “We Need your prayers and Support for her speedy recovery.”
The news has led to an outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers on social media. Comments ranged from “Get Well soon” to “May god give her the strength to recover soon.” One user even urged others to pray for her speedy recovery and light lamps in temples in her name.
According to media sources, Arundhati was returning home after giving an interview to a YouTube channel when the accident took place.
Arundhati Nair made her acting debut in 2014 with the Tamil film ‘Pongi Ezhu Manohara’. She gained widespread recognition after starring in Vijay Antony’s ‘Saithan’. In 2018, she ventured into the Malayalam film industry and was seen in ‘Ottakoru Kaamukan’. Her most recent release was in 2023, where she starred in ‘Aayiram Porkaasukal’ alongside Vidharth, under the direction of Ravi Murukaya.
