Pregnant Lea Michele, the 37-year-old Glee alum, made a stunning appearance at the 2024 Hope Rising Benefit at The Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City on April 4. This marked her first red carpet appearance since announcing her second pregnancy with husband Zandy Reich.
Michele was the epitome of radiance and joy as she posed for photos, cradling her growing baby bump. She was dressed in a backless red halterneck Michael Kors wrap dress with a gold neck detail, complementing her look with a simple gold bangle and gold earrings. Her hair was styled in loose waves, adding to her chic look.
The event, organized by The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD), aims to raise funds to combat frontotemporal degeneration (FTD). This year marked the eighth annual Hope Rising Benefit.
Michele had shared the happy news of her second pregnancy on March 27 via an Instagram post. She posted a carousel of images showing her with a small baby bump, captioning it, “Mommy, Daddy and Ever are overjoyed. 💛”. The new baby will join their son Ever, 3, who was born in August 2020.
Just a day after sharing the big news, Michele made her first public appearance during a performance at the Radio City Musical Hall. On March 28, she performed at the “An Evening with the Presidents” Democratic fundraiser event featuring Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton. She sang the classic Funny Girl song “Don’t Rain on My Parade”, marking the first time she had sung while pregnant.
“Okay, so I’ve never sung pregnant ever before. And I just decided why not for the first time come to Radio City, one of the most amazing, iconic venues in the whole world to sing ‘Don’t Rain on my Parade?,’ ” she shared in a clip posted on her Instagram Stories.
